I am thrilled to have been selected by the National Endowment for Humanities (NEH) and Saint Mary’s College to attend a Summer Institute in Mexico City this summer. During this Institute I will be learning about the art, culture, and literature of Mexico. I have already done and enjoyed my readings and while in Mexico I will be attending lectures at the University of La Salle, visiting museums, archeological sites, and other very interesting sites. I will also be working with other teaching and creating lesson plans. La Salle is situated near the beautiful park of Chapultepeque and so is the home of the family I will be staying with. This great experience will enhance my love for history and improve my limited knowledge of my Hispanic heritage. Please join me in this wonderful trip as often as you can and make sure to leave me a message.
