Frida Kahlo y Diego Rivera

In the morning we had our usual lecture/discussion.  At noon we drove to "Colonia El angel" where Diego and Frida had their studio.  Then we went to Coyoacan to visit Frida's family house.  The house is absolutely beautiful!  Later on Frida and Diego lived there.  We also visited Trotsky's house also in Coyoacan.

Diego and Frida's studio in Colonia San Angel - the white section was Diego's, the blue section Frida's and there is a bridge at the top of the buildings where they communicated with each other.

This was the garage where Diego did a lot of his work

Diego was very interested in politics, and was concern about the political problems in Guatemala, so in his garage door he painted the flag of Guatemala - unfortunately this is not the Guatemala flag.

Trotsky's house - notice the long holes where the rifles used to be.
