Santuario de la Virgen de Guadalupe

This was our last stop of the day.  Although we all were very tired we were amazed about the powere that Virgen de Guadalupe has over the Mexican people.  There are seven churches/sanctuaries dedicated to the Virgen de Guadalupe in the same area.  This is due to the terrain (Mexico City is built over a lake and many buildings are sinking - it is very visible).   About 20 million people visit it every year. http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bas%C3%ADlica_de_Santa_Mar%C3%ADa_de_Guadalupe

  1. Is the Cerro del Tepeyac included in all those churches? I remember going once when I was a kid,but seems it has changed a lot. The Tepeyac was where (supposedly) the Virgin appeared to Juan Diego.
Well, the fans of any religion are counted by the millions, problems are the fanatics.
    Good job Rebe.
